LISTEN HERE: PART ONE

Modern Widows Club Founder Carolyn Moor was interviewed on Heal Squad podcast by Maria Menounos. You can watch Part 1 “Exposing the Silent Crisis of Widowhood” and Part 2 “Exploring a Widows Guide to Thriving” now!!

Part 1: From Heal Squad podcast, “Discusses a part of life that affects women worldwide: Widowhood. Millions of women are impacted by the devastating effects of widowhood each year, yet it remains a vastly undiscussed public health issue. In our conversation, she sheds light on the transitional experience of widowhood and the unique challenges widows face - from financial insecurity and social injustices to the arduous emotional and psychological toll.

Carolyn also opens up about her own deeply personal journey through grief and identity reconstruction after losing her husband and provides compassionate, practical guidance for how we can better support this vulnerable population. Widowhood is a ticket to poverty for many, and the statistics are staggering - from the alarming gender gap in remarriage rates to the startling fact that only 50% of Americans even have life insurance.
