Happy Lunar New Year 5785 to Our Wisters Who Celebrate!

“It’s Rosh Hashanah!!!!  Happy Lunar New Year!!!  It always leaves me in awe to think about it being thousands of years since creation and to be celebrating it today.  

On Wednesday evening at sundown it was the anniversary of Day 5 of creation,  we transitioned out of year 5784 into year 5785.  In the study of the Hebrew language every letter has a number associated with it.  Every letter and number has a deeper and expounded meaning.  The year of 5784 was the year of the “door” the number 4 is represented by the 4th letter of the Hebrew Alef Bet which is “Dalet” which has an inherent meaning of door.  So this past year was what we referred to as the year of the Open Door.  

Yesterday, at the start of our 3 day celebration of Rosh Hashanah, we walked out of the final door of 5784 into the new year of 5785 which has a new and exciting spiritual meaning of “…
