June is a crucial month for raising awareness about the support needs of widows worldwide. In 2011, the United Nations established June 23 as International Widows’ Day to educate citizens worldwide about the challenges faced by these women and their families.
Since then, the Modern Widows Club has recognized this day and encouraged others to join us in our efforts. We share personal stories, statistics, and advocacy to raise awareness and ensure this day receives the recognition it deserves. See our “How We Advocate for Widows” page on our website.
