Our Widow Life Newsletter extends gratitude to all who attended, sponsored, supported, and volunteered for our empowering movement. We wish all of you could have been with us.
This weekend, Modern Widows Club hosted and collaborated on three events, and we wanted to share some photos with you to convey the joy we experienced.
A full day of excellent speakers, resourceful vendors (including chair massages), nutritious food by Nourish Coffee + Cafe and new “Wister” friendships developed. We discussed heart health hacks for women in widowhood with Dr. Marissa Magsino, nourish to flourish dietary tips to empower healing after loss with Tara Gidus Collingwood, traveling solo or as a group with Janet Danio/ ATEC Travel/ MWC Travel Club, and a panel discussion on cultivating purpose and meaning with Cindy Price, Bonnie H and Tara Gidus Collingwood moderated by MWC Founder Carolyn Moor.
2024 Modern Widows Club Annual Business Meeting held at New Hope for Kids in Maitland, FL with lunch sponsored by Panera Bread.
We welcomed 21 members of our Board of Directors and Ambassador Council from twelve states, and esteemed guests, to learn about our nonprofit initiatives and priorities focused on advancing widow support, solutions, and research. Many members were meeting for the first time, and it was great to get off ZOOM and be in person.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who participated this weekend in championing our cause locally, nationally, and internationally. The insights from this devoted team were incredibly supportive, innovative and compassionate. Together, we are on a learning journey to better support widows and our organization aspiring to pave a path forward.
